Product Presentation Optimization Specialist

Venturi’s online sales success depends heavily on how well we present our products to potential web customers. Compelling content, engaging images, and solid keyword strategies are a must, as is a healthy balance between creativity and data analysis. We’ve been at this long enough to know that what worked yesterday won’t necessarily work today, and that in the fast-paced world of online sales, you need dedicated experts analyzing and optimizing your presentations on a consistent basis if you want to thrive online. 

We’re currently looking for a creative, tenacious, data-driven marketer to join our team and help make our online product stories sing. As a dedicated Product Presentation Optimization Specialist, you will work closely with leaders from Sales, Marketing and Product Development to identify high-value presentation opportunities, execute meaningful tests, measure impacts and analyze results.   You will have a seat at the planning table, helping identify Venturi’s highest priority opportunities. You will also battle day to day on the front lines, imagining, designing, executing, and measuring dozens of optimization tests each month in a continuous hunt for changes that impact critical success metrics like conversion rate, click through rate, and more.  

As our new Product Presentation Optimization Specialist, you will join a talented, experienced team of true online sales experts who are already succeeding in a fast-moving, ever-changing omni-channel retail world.  Your job will be to make them even stronger, fueling incremental sales and customer acquisition growth by identifying high-value presentation opportunities, executing meaningful content changes, and helping us identify what’s working and why. Your tactical tests and discoveries will make our online product presentation pages better than they’ve ever been. The Presentation Optimization Program you develop for us over time will fuel efficient sales growth for years to come.

Key Skills We Expect You to Have

  • Hands-on experience creating, presenting and optimizing online product content
  • Familiarity with selling on leading 1st and 3rd party online marketplaces (*Amazon.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, ebay.com, etc.)
  • Experience writing digital content for SEO that includes product copy, blog posts and social media posts on various platforms, including keyword research
  • Familiarity working with various CMS platforms
  • High aptitude for learning new software and understanding new technologies
  • Deep understanding basic online shopper behaviors and standard user interface architecture
  • Deep understanding of responsive web design concepts and mobile applications
  • Knack for identifying opportunities “hiding within the data”, and leveraging data to make strong business cases
  • Experience leveraging real-time analytics systems a plus
  • Ability to glean key insights and best practices from the activities and tactics of top competitors

Core Job Responsibilities Section

Analysis

  • Use available tools to collect, review, and interpret shopper behavior on major online marketplaces
  • Devise efficient testing, tracking and analysis processes to fuel ongoing learning
  • Develop hypotheses, structure objective test scenarios, execute tests, and capture results
  • Analyze site-specific and cross-channel data to optimize user experiences
  • Use data-driven insights to influence departmental priorities and champion specific content recommendations

Execution

  • Optimize product listings as directed, adhering to all established brand guidelines and known marketplace standards
  • Management and Optimization of campaigns through 3rd party services and tools
  • Develop or acquire compelling copy to support defined keyword/SEO strategies
  • Develop or acquire compelling product images, videos, and other relevant content to drive online sales and customer acquisition 
  • Execute efficient and timely updates to Venturi’s product catalog
  • Conduct keyword research as directed; inject keywords into online product listings, website product pages and keyword-based content pages
  • Creatively repurpose content across platforms for best possible utilization and promotional value
  • Support all new Venturi product launches with compelling new product presentations/listings
  • Develop specific digital assets as directed by the Sales or Marketing teams
  • Apply user-centered design approaches and methodologies when developing solutions for all digital properties and touchpoints
  • Ensure responsive design practices are part of the experience solutioning process for both web and mobile applications

Leadership

  • Become an effective champion for your ideas, using collected data and your analyses to effect project prioritization
  • Work hand in hand with your teammates to improve the “metrics that matter” (conversion rate, revenues, average order value, CTR) on Venturi’s online product listings
  • Reframe product and project requests/ideas as user-centered challenges, then identify and prioritize potential solutions to be pursued
  • Communicate priorities, parameters, and performance results with cross-functional partners, establishing positive, proactive relationships in pursuit of shared goals
  • Identify new business opportunities to support channel development
  • Develop a competitive strategy for each of the markets in which Venturi competes
  • Stay current on competitor and premium brand experiences, industry trends and best practices
  • Help design integrated customer experiences across all channels
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales and customer care to provide visibility, transparency, and efficiency with project work
